Anne Ling has been interested in quality education for as long as she can remember. She earned her bachelor's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, her secondary teaching credential from Wellesley College, and her master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. She worked in MIT's Office of the Dean for Academic Affairs, Penn's Office of Undergraduate Admission, and Stanford's Graduate School of Education before choosing to stay home to educate her own children.

While searching for curriculum to use in her home school, Anne was disappointed to discover that many of the products she found did not require students to think deeply about what they were learning. Knowing that success in school, work, and life requires the ability to analyze information and draw conclusions, Anne determined to find educational materials that would challenge her children's problem solving abilities. The products you see for sale at Stretch That Brain are the fruit of that search. The quest, however, is an ongoing one. Check our site regularly for new books, software, and games that encourage the love of learning and help students from PreK through high school develop critical thinking skills.
